Emily Quinton is an award-winningfemale wedding photographer who works throughout the UK. She uses natural light to create her distinctive stylish and feminine images.
I love making beautiful pictures for people to treasure today and forever.
Weddings
A few years ago a good friend convinced me to take her wedding photographs. Five minutes into her wedding and I was completely head over heels in love with wedding photography. And I have never looked back.
Weddings are full to the brim with love, happiness, individuality, families, friends and the most amazing details. What could be a more perfect place to create beautiful, creative and lasting images?
It is essential for me to have a good relationship with the people I work with. I cry at every wedding I photograph because I am totally absorbed in the emotion that I am capturing through my lens.
I limit the number of weddings I do each year to ensure that I give my clients the best possible service before, during and after their wedding.
Portraits
In addition to weddings I do a select number of portrait sessions each year, mainly with young children and babies. Capturing those early weeks, months and years is so precious and completely wonderful.
I work out on location, in natural light, often in clients’ homes and gardens or in local parks.
Fine Art
My current fine art work continues with my series of limited edition botanical images, which began with my illustrations for my PhD thesis on ornamental plant hunting.
And when I put my camera down…
I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my husband Stef, our three small children and our friends. I read far too many lovely magazines and pretty blogs. I have an obsession with interior design (in preparation for one day creating our dream family home), pattern and crafting. To keep myself strong and sane I go running and practice yoga. And I bake lots of cakes!
