An orchid filled weekend in Sheffield and Derbyshire
This weekend I had a wedding in Sheffield on Friday and a wedding in Derbyshire on Saturday. A strange but very handy coincidence! On Friday it was Trudi and Andrew’s turn to get married at the beautiful church in Aston, followed by a reception next door at the sophisticated and stylish Aston Hall. I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Trudi and Andrew are an amazing couple and have the attention to detail that love and admire so much. Their wedding was incredible and included a guest appearance from their beautiful dog Dylan and a hot air balloon surprise for their guests in the evening. And I’m sure Andrew won’t mind me mentioning that he gave the best groom’s speech I have heard all year. Hilarious! Huge congratulations guys!
And then on Saturday it was down the M1 a couple of junctions and into Derbyshire for the stylish wedding of Zoe and Dan. I have never seen so many beautiful orchids (even on my many visits to Kew Gardens!) and their black and white theme was stunning. Their reception was held at Shottle Hall, which I can highly recommend as a beautiful venue with incredibly professional staff. I was joined by the wonderful Owen and Charis for the day, who were assisting me and taking some amazing photographs. Thanks guys! The wedding was another special one and I felt privileged to be part of it. Big congratulations to you both!
I have one wedding next Saturday and then a little break while we do the National Wedding Show at the NEC on 10th-12th October. Do pop along and say hello if you are going! More information to follow about that in the next few days.
